Director of the Foundation Program

However you found your way to our website, welcome! I hope the information you will find in these pages will be helpful to you as you seek to know our community better.

It is a wonderful gift to serve as Director of the Foundation Program and to witness the work the God is doing in so many lives.  Regularly, I see a willingness to say “yes” to the call to live a vowed life in the style of New Monasticism.  Vocations are the work of the All Holy, and so it is my role to be there when this work has resonated in the hearts of those who are generously responding. God has a call for each of us, and through the process of discernment, we discover how we are being invited to live this out.

If you have heard God’s gentle invitation to religious life, it may have taken you by surprise. Uncertainty is not an uncommon response to the first stirrings of a religious vocation. As we begin to feel drawn to religious life, we may find ourselves saying, “Who,  me?” … “I am not sure about this at all.” … “What if I’m making a mistake?”

However, if one is called to religious life then, with time and prayer, uncertainty turns to conviction, and conviction brings a peace and a joy.

Jesus invited his disciples to “come and see”, so too we invite you to come and walk the path of religious life with us as Companion. We perceive the call to religious life as a deep longing for reunion with God, and service to others through the Works of Charity. We pledge to walk with you, and share the journey of faith.

Should you have any questions about the admissions process or our community, please reach out to our Admissions Coordinator, Bro. Andrew Aelred Morehead, at vocations@ecuorderofcharity.org. We are happy to help you in any way that we can, and to discuss whatever questions you may have.
